Adult Services

For decades, adults living with autism and related developmental disabilities have received services from Linwood. Supported employment in integrated settings, vocational training, recreation, volunteerism, community involvement and community-based residential services are all possibilities for our adult services program participants, regardless of their unique challenges.

Child

School Program

Linwood School is approved by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) to operate a Special Education and related services program for students with autism and multiple disabilities that supports the educational programming for students Elementary (Grades 1 through 8) and Nongraded (Ages 6 through 21) and related services.

Linwood School is a non-public special education program that serves students on the autism spectrum and related developmental disorders, including multiple disabilities from ages 6 – 21 in a small structured positive learning environment. Collaborating with families is the cornerstone of Linwood School.  Programming is designed based on our students strengths and interests.  This includes a multi-disciplinary approach that provides wrap around services to support academics, behavior, related services, and vocational programming all within small class sizes.

Residential Programs

Our community-based Residential Services Program offers assistance to adult residents as they develop the daily routines necessary for them to work, use community resources and make connections outside their homes. We also offer a community-based residential program for students who are referred to this program based on need through local school systems.
